Every member must have a current AMA card and a full AMA membership, Park Flyer membership does not qualify. Bring the filled out application located at the bottom of this page, and your current AMA card along with $80.00 to the next meeting. All new members must come to a meeting to join the Barnstormers. Be introduced to the membership, any member at the meeting can do that for you. Ask to meet the club officers. Agree to follow the AMA rules and the Barnstormer rules posted at the field, learn what is allowed and what is not allowed at the field. After AMA verification new members receive a membership card and a gate key. Understand that the Kane County Forest Preserve District provides our license to have the field and they demand the AMA card as proof of insurance and they set the rules. The meetings are the first Thursday of each month, and are at the Sugar Grove Public Library at 7:00 pm; always check our calendar, on our web site, before every meeting in case the time or location has changed. In June, July, and August, meetings are at the field, on the same day and time as other meeting. Plan on attending meetings to get to know our membership, to learn the field rules, and take part in club business. Club members, as part of your membership can also fly (for a fee) most week ends in the winter months at near by high school for indoor flyers, special rules apply.
